Christmas Day!!! 2007

Santa found us this morning.... the girls were SOOOOO excited!Claire's first Christmas was a complete success, she had so much fun, even with a little cold Brenna was a little excited to get her first (of many) Hanna Montana items
Abby showing off her doll
After dinner at the Harrison..(very, very yummy), we went outside to check all the deer on the hill (all those brown dots are deers).... Dave said he counted more then 20.... I think that was also the temperature, it was soooooo cold!
The kids wanted to do some more sleding... thanks to Uncle Dennis and David the kids had several trips around the neighborhood, before becoming popsicles
I don't know how the kids stayed out her sooo long with the wind blowing in their faces... but they had a ball.
I think Christmas was a huge success... lots of family, food, fresh white fluffy snow, and making more memories. This is definately stuff we would have never have done in CA. Thanks to all for making it a great day.
P.S. Happy Birthday Jodi!

Christmas Eve

Crook Christmas Eve 2007, Springville, UT
After having a yummy dinner, we opened our traditional new PJ's. Claire wasn't feeling good, but she got some new warm and comfy jammies for her first christmas Abby & Brenna couldn't wait to get their new pj's
Then the snow started..... and we were soooooo excited to have a white christmas, to be able to build a big snowman and slede in the street....until the snowplow came thru... rude

Our little snow man... actually covered in snow
" The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow
Gave a luster of mid-day to objects below.... "
Mom said she wanted to make a path to the back garage to help the neighbor that hid some gifts in there... I helped a little, thinking she was done... but when she didn't come in we looked out to see her shoveling more then a 'path'..... she's crazy, luckily the neighbor came and finished it for her before taking the gifts

Random shots from December

December in SLC Performing Arts means.... Nutcracker... I was "lucky" enough to get to work it 7 times.... Had to show proof of what I do in my "spare time"...top picture is of a few of the Ballerina's going to work too. The 1 of the 6 huge nutcrackers that decorate the theater.

Last Thursday we had a huge storm blow in - just in time for the drive home... I went thru lightening, hail, sleet, high winds... all before getting to Utah County... When I got home my car was plastered with ice... the best was my Mickey antanea ball.... he became 3-D

Santa Clause came to town early.... our neighborhoods resident snow sculpture has been really been busy this year

Road Trip???

Ok - I had to take a break from the piles of junk on my desk because I'm about to strangle the "boys" I work with who think it's great to give me stuff to do without explaining then not answer their phones when I have a list of questions.... (sorry about the rant)

So I went to my happy place Disneygeek.com to see what I'm missing out on in the Happiest Place on Earth.....

My only question is who's up for a road trip and can we leave now???

Doesn't the castle look AWESOME!!! Yes I am tearing up as I look at this.... I'm sick I know, but I miss it!!!!!! (I haven't been in 1-1/2 years!!!!)

Like I said Any one who wants to escape for a couple of days - I'm ready to go!!!

2 YEARS!!!!

I thought about this the other day... but forgot until this morning that it was 2 years ago today that I left CA and came to Utah, time sure has flown by.... with really nothing really exciting to show for it...hum??? I know I'm supposed to be here and I am a happy to be close to family and have a good job... yadda yadda yadda, but I will always be a Californian and defend it, and make fun of every funny Utah I can (gotta have some entertainment).

Here are some things I miss about the great smoggy state of CA...

Captial Theater Ghost

I love ghost stories and working at the Capital Theater we get lots of questions about our ghosts. I took some of our new ushers down the the basement the other night to "look for George". Of course nothing happened, but I totally believe that there are ghosts there... the following link is a KSL Halloween report. They forgot to tell about the other 2 ghosts that have been proven to live there too.

Only in Utah!?!?!?

Ok - So last night I was coming home from the theater trying to focus on staying awake. As I come down into Lehi, I see a car in front of me that has some bright orange stripes near the trunk. As I get closer I see that there is a large wierd shaped object straped to the trunk of this car. When I pull up along side I look over and there is a good sized DEER straped to the back of a 2 door hatchback car!!!! What the.... I had to slow down and let him pass me again so I can make sure that was really what I saw. I got a good look and it was a 3-point buck, eye's still open looking at me..... wish I had my camera.
Where else but Utah would you see a normal looking person with a dead animal strapped to his hatchback at 11:oo at night like it was no big deal....HELLO!!!!!

Pre-Halloween Party!

Tonight our friends/neighbors had their halloween party. So we all got "dressed" and the girls where extra excited to be able to where their costumes more then once.

Deb & Janna were "Black-eyed Peas" Mom was a Split pea (with realy pea-pod earrings) and I was 2-Peas in an i-"Pod" (aren't we funny)

Everybody ready to go to the party

Jen in her homemade costume - yes she is psycho, but she looked great and throws a great party!)

Catherine's "Ragedy Andy"
Wendy showing off the purple-pirates "bling bling"
Stephanie's Amish costueme - excellent
After everyone was leaving Jen said that she needed to go to Wal-mart to so a few of us went along... most still in costume. Gotta love it... Had to document it ... hello! The funny was that we weren't the only ones

Exciting times in Springville... gotta laugh some how!
